Job Summary:
This position will assistant the A/P Manager wit the supervision of up to 25 employees. The assistant will oversee department in the absence of manager.
Job Responsibilities:
- Advise A/P Supervisors on how to manage and administer workflow.
- Assist in performance evaluations, written and verbal warnings and creating improvement plans.
- Process miscellaneous check runs, reconcile accounts, researching back up and quality reasoning for invoice payments.
- Handle vendor inquiries and troubleshoot dilemmas.
- Printing of check registers, voiding checks, stop payments, post manual payments and process online payments.
- Code and review all American Express Corporate card accounts and track regional travel expenses.
- Process recurring payables and interest payments.
- Prepare accrual entries, journal entries for month and year-end closings.
- Process 1099 forms for all locations and 1096 forms for State and IRS remittance.
- Interview candidates for open positions.
- Create and update procedures, spreadsheets and manuals.
Knowledge, Skill and Ability:
- Solid management, interpersonal, communication and customer service skills.
- Excellent time management and analytical skills.
- Must be proactive and possess a strong work ethic.
Education and Experience:
- Must have at least two years of related experience.
- Some college a plus or equivalent work experience necessary.
- Proficient Microsoft Office skills (Excel and Word.
- Knowledge of accounting software. Great Plains Dynamics a plus.
