Job Summary:
The Human Resources Administrative Assistant will assist in the following H.R. disciplines:
- Recruiting
- Benefits Administration
- Labor Relations
- Employee Relations
- Compliance
- Payroll
- New Hire Orientation
In addition to the above areas, the Human Resources Administrator will assist in creating a welcoming, upbeat and fun work environment.
Job Responsibilities:
- Support recruiting function with parts of the recruiting process that includes: candidate screening, scheduling interviews, reserving conference rooms, and completing new hire paperwork.
- Maintain responsibility for entry, maintenance, and integrity of data in the payroll system. *Communicate professionally, tactfully, and with the utmost diplomacy at all times, treating all employees with dignity and respect.
- Maintain a high level of confidentiality at all times.
- Human Resources related projects.
Working Relationships:
- Consults and helps plan daily activities with General Manager; manages the activities of supervisors and staff.
- Provides supervision, guidance and support to store staff.
- Works with on-site jobbers and sales representatives.
- Communicates with home office personnel.
Education and Experience:
- High School or Equivalent (Associates degree or higher a plus).
- 1-2 years of Human Resources and Retail experience.
