Job Summary:

    Client/Server and SQL Sr. Programmer/Systems Analyst. To support and troubleshoot systems and database programs. Reviews, analyzes and modifies programming systems including encoding, testing, debugging and installing SQL and ORACLE PL/SQL using ORACLE 8i/9i to support the organization’s client/server software applications (Datavantage Balance/Sales Audit and XBR preferred) as well as Retail Systems experience preferred. Create Oracle and SQL reporting. Working experience with development tools such as: Microsoft SQL, TOAD PL/SQL, Crystal Reports or other report writers. Performs a variety of complicated tasks.

    Other duties include programming, knowledge with VB, VB.net, .net architecture, Pervasive ETL Tool is a plus, and data interfaces to access external data sources/systems. Familiar with relational database concepts, and client-server concepts. Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. A certain degree of creativity and latitude is required.

    Provides change management leadership to assist the business partners with implementing new or changed business processes in the organization. Functions as the sales audit systems support Programmer/Analyst responsible for assisting and maintaining the system configuration, including requirements analysis, testing, application documentation, and on going application support. Assist in requirement analysis, QA testing, application documentation, on going application support and problem solving and strong analytical skills. Ability to think critically about requirements and to clearly capture and document requirements. Ability to work with minimal supervision. Strong interpersonal skills to include the ability to mentor, coach, and train.

Job Responsibilities:

  • The SQL and PL/SQL Programmer Analyst will provide technical support for the Datavantage Balance/Sales Audit and will also assist with XBR and JDA Merchandise System applications, conversions and interfaces to and from other systems (POS/XBR/Great Plains/PMM).
  • Assist Users, Functional and Technical Leads in resolving issues
  • Provide input on enhancements and interfaces
  • Able to create reports for the users using PL/SQL, Crystal Reports or other report writers
  • Prepare test plans and test scripts
  • Update/create documentation that supports the systems
  • Review performance test results and assist in improving performance as required
  • Work with the business partners on product support issues and interfaces issues
  • Evaluate product patches and upgrades and assist in the migration of these through the environments.
  • Work with DBA's and Product Support to tune the database and application servers
