Position: Administrative Assistant (Clerical)
Reports to: Sr. VP of Merchandising Department: Merchandising

Job Summary:

    Supports the Vice President of Specialty Retail in executing all planning initiatives and managing the day-to-day functions of the Merchandise Department.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Provides support to the VP, as well as the merchandise Department.
  • Handles accounts payable issues and acts a liaison between departments.
  • Oversees Travel expense vouchers and travel arrangements prior to SVP's approval.
  • Distribution of National Sign Program.
  • Initiate Banner program for special promotions and holidays.
  • Responsible for communication with vendors.
  • Documents weekly sales for specialty locations for SVP.
  • Review American Express bills in advance of SVP approval.
  • Prepares Slideshows for all new store openings.
  • Schedule appointments and maintain calendar for SVP.
  • Assists with RFP's. Research and preparation.
  • Provide support and documentation for Vendor Show event.
  • Provides support and guidance to field merchandisers regarding all travel and needs of the field.
  • Maintains field merchandisers schedule for SVP.
  • Offer general support and direction to the merchandise Department team when SVP is away from the office.
  • Assist in store setups, and provide support to Buyers.

  • Superior interpersonal abilities; able to interact with diverse personalities.
  • Skill in organizational planning.
  • Excellent communication skills to represent the Company.

Education and Experience:

  • Exceptional communication skills.
  • At least 3 years experience, preferably in a position as Administrative Assistant.
  • Ability to multitask.
